University of Florida’s Most Hateful

The University of Florida is one of few universities to discipline students arrested as part of pro-Palestinian protests beyond a slap on the wrist.

In April, Tess Segal was among nine people arrested during a demonstration on the University of Florida campus. The Daily Caller reported that Segal was arrested for allegedly failing to obey police officers.

Segal, a 20-year-old sustainability major from Weston, Florida, received a three-year suspension. She also received a trespass order that prohibits her from entering campus until April 2027.

“The University of Florida is not a daycare, and we do not treat protesters like children – they knew the rules, they broke the rules, and they’ll face the consequences,” police spokesman Steve Orlando in a statement.
